Nedtystning i engelskt kungahus

Royals want to hide that they protected paedophile Prince Andrew

Prince Andrew is the shit that the royal family just cannot scrape from their shoes, however hard they wipe their well-shod feet.

In a posthumous memoir to be published this week, Virginia Giuffre says he “believed having sex with me was his birthright”.

The paedophile prince denies all wrongdoing. But he has been stripped of shedloads of fake titles and unearned honours as explosive disclosures contained in emails in the possession of the US Congress hit the fan this week.

Back in 2011, the former Duke of York tried to get his police bodyguard to dig up dirt on Giuffre. He wanted to smear Giuffre just hours before a picture of him with his arm around her waist—when she was the 17-year old—was published.

The late Queen Elizabeth II knew all about it.  Prince Andrew claimed Giuffre had a criminal record in the United States—this was a lie. And he got hold of her social security number illegally.

He continued to visit Jeffrey Epstein in New York after the financier’s conviction for child sex offences in 2008. Photographs showed him opening the door of Epstein’s palatial East Side townhouse in December 2010 before the pair had a cosy stroll through Central Park.

The new emails reveal that Prince Andrew secretly told Epstein, “We are in this together,” and, “We’ll play some more soon,” in February 2011. He later claimed to Emily Maitles on BBC Newsnight that he cut all ties three months before those emails were sent.

Other newly seen emails suggest that Epstein set the paedophile prince up on a dinner date with a second young woman. She says Epstein sexually abused her for years.

Another email shows that the prince’s family maintained ties with Epstein. His former wife—grifter Sarah Ferguson—and daughters princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were the first people to visit Epstein after his release from jail for child sex offences.

Ferguson begged Epstein to lend her up to $100,000 and pleaded to be allowed to visit his notorious private island.

She has also been stripped of her title after emails showed she called Epstein her “supreme friend” months after she claimed she had cut ties.

During Prince Andrew’s car crash Newsnight interview in November 2019 he denied he abused Giuffre. He claimed to be at a branch of Pizza Express in Woking with his daughter Beatrice when one rape took place.

He said Giuffre’s description of him as sweaty at a nightclub was untrue because an “overdose of adrenaline in the Falklands war” had left him unable to sweat.

Four days later, Prince Andrew stepped back from royal duties.

Prince Andrew was not Epstein’s friend despite sexual abuse. Their friendship was built on the sexual exploitation of others. Epstein never hid his systematic abuse of underage girls—it was his unique selling point.

For more than two decades, Prince Andrew partied with Epstein and Maxwell who is serving 20 years for sexual abuse of minors.

Epstein and Maxwell were at the heart of a grooming gang which served up teenage girls to be abused by rich and powerful men.

Prince Andrew attended naked pool parties and was treated to numerous foot massages by a “harem” of adolescent girls.

Men like Prince Andrew monetise friendships and family relationships and use them to advance their own interests. That is why both Epstein and Harvey Weinstein were guests at the lavish 18th birthday party held for Prince Andrew’s daughter Beatrice.Epstein was arrested nine days later, and Weinstein’s sexual abuses sparked the #MeToo movement.

Men like Prince Andrew, Epstein and Trump see behaviour that would disgust most people as an affirmation of their power and right to dominate others.

Epstein was a guest at a party hosted by the queen at Windsor Castle in 2000. After Epstein was released from prison, rumours began to swirl. So the queen invested Prince Andrew with the insignia of a King Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order—the highest honour she could give him.

The royal family represents the worst of all worlds. They depend on outdated notions of respect and duty but pursue personal gain as ruthlessly as any Dragon’s Den entrepreneur.

Prince Andrew dined out on his royal connections, using Buckingham Palace to impress the billionaire son-in-law of deposed Tunisian dictator Ben Ali. “Air Miles Andy” flew to Egypt with David “Spotty” Rowland—a businessman who gave Ferguson £50,000—to dine with the corrupt president of Kazakhstan.

The president’s son-in-law bought Prince Andrew’s unwanted mansion for £15 million, a cool £3 million more than the asking price.

Prince Andrew once claimed to be too “honourable for his own good”. But he represents the sense of entitlement of the “Droit de Seigneur”—the right of feudal lords to rape peasant women on their wedding night.

But that was compounded with the industrial-scale commodification of women perfected by the capitalist system.

The voices of sexually exploited women and children have been silenced by the monarchy, judiciary, police, church, CEOs and politicians. This complicity has enabled the perpetration of abuse.

Prince Andrew and Epstein, like so many powerful sexual abusers, were not exposed by journalists, friends or family members or law enforcement agencies. They were only brought down because the women involved refused to be intimidated into silence any longer.

Last week, Prince Andrew was forced to cancel an extravagant birthday party for Sarah Ferguson, to be held at their shared Windsor mansion. But they won’t be left on the streets.

Giuffre took her life in April. She was just 41.  Her relatives said the latest revelations “expose the lengths to which those implicated try to discredit and defame survivors. The truth will surface and there will be no shadows in which they can hide”.

The royal family has done everything possible to protect Prince Andrew. Not one of the parasites has bothered to express any compassion for what the victims of this grooming gang have endured.

Rapist cops crimes exposed

David Carrick used his role as an armed Met police officer to rape and sexually abuse 12 women. He told his victims, “You are my slave,” describing them as “fat and lazy” as he urinated on and whipped them. He locked some in a small cupboard under the stairs without food and forced them to clean his house naked.

Carrick told them when they could eat and sleep, and controlled their finances.  He refused to let them speak to friends, other men or their own children. And if his victims dared to speak up, Carrick told them they would never be believed as he was a police officer.

One woman came forward in the wake of Sarah Everard’s kidnap and murder by serving police officer Wayne Couzens in 2021. Carrick has now pleaded guilty to 49 charges. Both Carrick and Couzens were members of the Metropolitan Police’s elite armed parliamentary and diplomatic protection command.

Southwark Crown Court this week heard that from 2003 to 2020 Carrick abused some of his victims on multiple occasions over months or years in his home county, Hertfordshire. Many attacks involved physical violence that left victims injured. His disgusting character was widely known by his colleagues, as he was nicknamed, “Bastard Dave”. He was only suspended after a second rape accusation was made against him in October 2021.

The Met Police has now said a total of 1,633 cases, ranging from arguments to the most serious sexual crimes, involving 1,071 officers and staff, will be reviewed.  But it won’t fix the institutionally sexist nature of the cops. Carrick’s sexist crimes aren’t an isolated event. He and Couzens aren’t just bad apples—the whole orchard is rotten.

Between 2019 and 2020, 160 Met officers were accused of sexual assault, harassment and other forms of misconduct. But just four have been “suspended or restricted” as a result. Since 2009 at least 15 serving or former officers have killed women in Britain, with the true figure likely much higher. The police are institutionally sexist because their job is to reinforce the power structures and the role of the state.

Because police uphold the system, they reflect its ideas. That’s why Carrick, Couzens, racists, bullies, homophobes and sexists are pulled towards it. Now it is even more clear that the police don’t protect us. They abuse us. Police reform, inquiries and reviews aren’t enough. We must abolish the police.

Why do state bodies breed sexist hate and violence?

Sexism scandals in the military and the police are not just a result of the culture of those organisations but due to the role they play in capitalist society.

Institutions that are part of the state and that protect the interests of the ruling class have recently come under fire for details of abuse and harassment within their ranks.  The revelations about the level of historic sexual violence within the Royal Navy, the army and the police aren’t incidental to the type of organisations they are.

Instead, they tell us about how the organisations are run, who is likely to be in them, and their wider function within capitalist society. Last month charity Salute Her UK said that 177 women have come forward to say they were raped at the elite Sandhurst military officer training centre. It described an “epidemic” of rapes across the military.

And it came just a month after a host of allegations about the Royal Navy showing that women were subject to endless sexual intimidation and violence.  One allegation detailed that submariners compiled a list about in which order women would be raped in the event of a catastrophic event. Former lieutenant Sophie Brook said, “The best thing I ever did was leave the Navy, but I worry about the women I left behind. It was a constant campaign of sexual bullying.”

It comes against a backdrop of court cases for cops accused of everything from multiple rapes to being part of WhatsApp groups containing sexist and racist content. A running thread through these instances is that women’s complaints were not treated seriously.

Capitalist societies rely on arms of the state, such as the secret service, cops and armed forces to protect what they see as the normal running of society. Capitalism is also riven with oppression, and within these institutions it can be particularly sharp.

For instance, the cops’ role in society is to suppress working class people and protect the interests of the rich.  They reflect the worst sorts of oppressive ideas that are pushed from the top of society. And the toxic culture becomes an endless cycle of fresh bigots rising through the ranks. They are attracted by an environment where racism, sexism and homophobia runs rampant.

But it’s not just a case about how sexist, bigoted individuals within their own ranks are treated, but how these political outlooks inform practice. In December, the independent review into the dramatic fall in rape prosecutions described “explicit victim blaming” within the police.

Authors of the review, which looked at 80,000 cases across five forces, found that “officers don’t think” that sexual offences “should be a priority for policing.” The day-to-day role of the army and navy are different in practice. But the ideological framework that shapes the institutions, alongside the hierarchal structures, are similar.

They reinforce internally the rotten power structures that encourage and amplify an abuse of power.

This is added to a pressure put on victims of sexual violence. They rely on the myth of mutual service to “King and country” to help hush up allegations of violence.

The details in each case are utterly horrendous. The case of cop Wayne Couzens is a good example of how some of the most violent people in society are comfortable within institutions of the state.

Sarah Everard’s rape and murder may have been shocking to the general public. But it probably wasn’t to Couzens’ colleagues at the Civil Nuclear Constabulary, who nicknamed him “the rapist”. The wider sexist, racist and homophobic behaviour within these organisations is not an isolated problem for individuals. These institutions of the state use their systems of rank and hierarchy as an effective tool to shut down complaints in the first place.

Victims are told they’re unlikely to be believed. And organisations don’t like to scrutinise their own behaviour. The culture of sexual violence within these organisations is about the function of the institution in capitalist society.

The behaviour and culture of the arms of the state is no accident. It’s indicative of the wider rot of oppression under capitalism as a whole.

New claims of child abuse by top royal Mountbatten

Royal favourite Lord Mountbatten has been accused of abusing children. A new case will now lift the lid of how the state was complicit

Lord Louis Mountbatten on a trip to Israel in 1967 (Picture: National Library of Israel)

Did the new king’s mentor rape children? According to a case being brought in Belfast against the police and other state institutions, the answer is yes, repeatedly. Arthur Smyth suffered sexual abuse as an 11 year old child at the notorious Kincora Boys’ Home in the 1970s.

He has named Lord Louis Mountbatten as one of his tormentors. He is the latest in a growing list of boys accusing Mountbatten of abuse. Kincora was run by three men who were convicted of child abuse in 1981—William McGrath, Joseph Mains and Raymond Semple.

Smyth says he was abused twice in Kincora in 1977 by Mountbatten. McGrath abused him for months afterwards.  In later life, the trauma of what he had experienced drove him to attempt suicide by driving his motorcycle into oncoming traffic.

At least three other boys were more than likely trafficked to Mountbatten’s mock castle in Ireland.  One of the victims, Stephen Waring, later took his own life in dubious circumstances. Another “Sean” came forward to accuse Mountbatten in 2019.

Mountbatten was the former Viceroy of India and head of the British Armed Forces.  He was killed by an IRA bomb in 1979, along with his 14 year old grandson Nicholas and a 15 year old deckhand Paul Maxwell.

According to FBI documents Mountbatten was gripped by “a lust for young boys”. A Historical Institutional Abuse Inquiry found that 39 boys were abused at Kincora.  But it dismissed allegations against Mountbatten and said it found no evidence that security agencies were complicit in the abuse.

The second of those conclusions is immediately provable as nonsense.  MI5 and the Northern Ireland Office intervened to protect McGrath because he was working for them. While launching far right Loyalist groups and gun running, McGrath’s task was to supply boys to politicians and Loyalist terrorists so they could be blackmailed by MI5.

For instance John Young, town solicitor at Belfast, to whom the boys’ complaints were passed, was one of the abusers. Others were councillors But it went higher. Richard Kerr, another victim from Kincora, says he met the chief spook Sir Maurice Oldfield in the home in 1978. People in authority knew what was going on because military intelligence officer Colin Wallace blew the whistle.

Wallace told his superiors what was happening and even put out a press release in early 1973. He supplied the address and phone number of Kincora. No newspaper followed this up despite the media usually running Wallace’s propaganda briefings unedited.

While the repeated cover-ups around Kincora encourage conspiracies, the evidence against Mountbatten has grown. And he did have a role in a real conspiracy. He came close to leading industrialists and generals plotting a coup in 1968 against the Labour government of Harold Wilson.

The security services backed off but went on to run a serious operation to destabilise successive governments.  One offshoot of that operation was the cover-up—at best—of child abuse, including by the rich and powerful. Operation Clockwork Orange was an attempt to smear and undermine a Labour government—and those Tories who weren’t considered tough enough.

Wallace was sacked in 1975 after he refused to continue on Clockwork Orange.  He had baulked at the idea of overthrowing the government he was supposed to be working for. He was frustrated that his attempts to expose the Kincora scandal were failing.

There have been numerous inquiries into the case. The first, in 1982, collapsed after a day.  The next one wouldn’t look into the cover-up and didn’t interview anyone. Others have come and gone.

Appropriately the most recent report into the scandal by the Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland, which added less than little, was released on the same day as the queen’s funeral. But the state doesn’t need a funeral to cover up its crimes. These Kincora files the state admits to keeping will be classified until 2060.

Ny backlash i Storbritannien?

Mörkläggning i Storbritannien
